Biography
Govind Dhiman is a British Concert Pianist based in London. He completed his Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance in 2023 under the tutorage of Professor Mikhail Kazakevich at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Govind made his concerto debut aged 16 performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Kent Concert Orchestra at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury as a finalist in The Marlowe Young Musician of the Year Competition 2015. He was awarded a music scholarship at Ashford School in 2011 where he studied with Stephen Dandridge before making his first public appearance the following year at the Kent International Piano Course. Govind was titled ‘Kent Young Pianist of the Year 2013’ after taking first prize at the Kent Piano Festival. He also participated in several other masterclasses and competitions including the Sevenoaks Young Musician of the Year Competition in 2016 where he was a prize winner. In 2017, Govind was awarded the David Gosling Piano Scholarship to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London studying with Mikhail Kazakevich, Gabriele Baldocci and Peter Tuite. Throughout his studies in London, he has been active as a soloist and chamber musician participating in international masterclasses, competitions and festivals. Govind has performed at venues including the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks, Wigmore Hall, the ORNC Chapel in Greenwich, Blackheath Halls, the Polish Hearth Club, the A.B. Michelangeli Hall in Bolzano, Italy and the European Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Montepulciano, Italy.
